7/28/14
hey y'all! well I've just had the best pday EVER! we went to the Guelagetza which is the traditional dances from all the pueblos of Oaxaca and it was beautiful I've never laughed and cheered so hard in my life! it was a blast!!!! we got a coconut and i got a traditional straw hat and broom! haha free stuff y'all!!!! it was beautiful and i decided today that i am never returning home hehe SORRY!!!!!!!!!! I'm mexican for life! no mexican oaxaqueña!!! haha
well family it was soooooo great to see y'all yesterday and to say goodbye to my little brother! i still can not believe this is happening!!! there will be two of us out that's LEGIT mom and dad!!!!! you're blessed haha its hard i know but what a blessing!!!
well this week my comp went home with honor because she was sooooooo sick she couldn't eat or she was super sick and so we had divisions with youth in the ward and i went out and taught and my comp stayed in a members house! and seriously we walked and walked and walked i had 5 houses with inves that completely flat out told me never come back i do not like the book of Mormon! i was in TEARS!!!!!!!!! it was so hard! but on Saturday the lord provided when my new comp hna martinez... her and i have been best friends since we came to the mission... we went to 20 different houses and had 5 lessons we were so sad we could not find a soul but we had the Lord on our side and we contacted 15 different people and have 15 new appointments lined up for this week i can not wait it was a blessing of the lord!!! also Socorro is progressing so much! her and her husband are having another baby they are going to be getting married they went to church yesterday and LOVED IT and socorro KNOWS that is true!!! i really have seen such a miracle in her change i hope to be here another 9 weeks just to be with her! i love her sooooooo much!
we also with all the gran blessings of the Lord have had some really hard times and scary times with drunks and druggies like just now i am so glad the elders showed up at the internet cafe with us cause this druggie was scaring me so bad and would not leave me be! but yeah we have rough experiences but we have had more blessings than i can ever count.
I want all of you to know that the Lord really loves us. He IS our Father in Heaven that loves and protects us and if we follow him he guides us back to his side with our eternal families! i am so grateful for my family and the love and support that they have always been for me and i am so grateful for them and their example to be an eternal family and one day i hope to have that same blessing! i know the Lord hears us in our prayers though things may be so hard the lord is always they guiding and protecting us from all the worldly things in a path that will lead and give us TRUE happiness eternal joy. i love the gospel and i love the opportunity i have to be an instrument in the Lords hands right now and following the spirit i have seen my help in his work here in etla and these are experiences i have loved and will ALWAYS cherish! thank you all for supporting me on the most amazing experience of my life and helping me help the lamanites of the book of Mormon really find the truth of their fathers!!! :) hehe i just love it!

hey yall!!!! SOOOO once again today we played futbol but let me tell you it was wayyyy more legit cause we played against my old zone and we got tshirts our zone did haha #zonamontealbanforlife hahahaha ya mom i just hashtagged in the mission! but we have hashtags on the tshirts haha our day was pretty legit! and we haven't even washed clothes or anything such rebels we are, haha not really!!! we went out to eat all of the hermanas in the 2 zones at chinese food and ya no I'm gunna die... haha it was horrible! NEVER EAT CHINESE FOOD IN MEXICO! haha y'all are probably saying we could have told you that, but please I've eaten insects rotten lamb (the WHOLE BODY NOT KIDDING) and some how I'm still alive! haha
but this week we worked harder than we ever have in this area and its payed off we have seen the blessings so much! its soooooooooo crazy the many blessings we have seen this week especially with our inves. Socorro and she really is progressing we had 2 AMAZING lessons with her this past week where the spirit was just so strong and we just followed it in all we said and she is progressing so much I've never seen such a miracle... i also had one of the MOST AMAZING experiences in my mission this week that i will ALWAYS keep sacred. I cant believe how much the Lord is just working through us to do His work!!! I can not tell you how much i LOVE this work and how much i have to learn in this next year!!!! because guess what... tomorrow is 6 months! man time is crazy and we are have way through this transfer how weird is that?!?!?!?!
Hey well honestly even though i am not in the house its hard to know that my little brother is leaving to Colombia... haha me being here in Mexico and i cant be there to see him leave I'm nervous for him he is just my little brother but i could not be more proud of the man he is becoming.... he has made me more proud than i ever could be of him. his strength and his example to me have been such a help! i can not wait to hear all his strength and stories haha i cant wait to talk to y'all in Sunday! Hunter know i love you SO much! you are going to do AMAZING things and you are going to truly know how it feels to be a missionary haha finally! its a once in a life time opportunity and do not regret one minute!!!! you are a strong man and i admire you for all you do! hunter i love you more than all the salmon in the ocean and rivers haha you are the BEST!!!!!!
i obviously love my other siblings people haha don't think that i don't.... i love them all the same!!!!!
you are always in my heart and prayers!!! thank you all for your support and love!!!!

Well Family! this week was very great! haha i have been putting in practice the gratitude and really it has helped me SO much yeah we have had really hard days but i can honestly see a change!!! i have an easier time just being loving and patient and just cooling off when I'm frustrated but like D&C 3:1 says that frustration is of men not of God.... oh man i have a lot to work on haha but we really are just having so much success with progressing inves. we are really working and stressing the importance of going to church!!
we are super short on time cause a doctors visit so i have to go i love you all and i am so grateful for everything y'all do and i cant wait to skype y'all in just 2 weeks Hunter i cant believe you are leaving me hahahahha keep up the good work and trust in the lord with all your heart might mind and strength!!!!
D&C6:22-23 this week i was praying to strength my testimony of my father in heaven and i just opened my scriptures and read this scripture and how beautiful it is!!!!! i LOVE it..... ahhh word cant express the feeling of a testimony strengthened!!!!

7/7/14
Well this week was the end of a transfer and now we are going into another!!! I am with Hermana Flores another transfer and we are here in Etla! haha its hard but we have decided to give it our all and our motto is 1Juan 2:16 (i think) but we can't say we are disciples of Christ until we have walked at least some distance in His shoes... and we are going to go that distance and more!!! i am excited to see the work of the Lord through our efforts.
Well this week we put 2 people on date for baptism Belen the senorita from Rio Grande whose husband just passed away and her son and they are so ready she is going to lessons with us this week to help us spread the word of God haha i am SOOOOOOOOOO excited she really is amazing!!!! and this past Monday night we had a REALLY SPECIAL lesson with our inves. Socorro... we were teaching about the first vision and as i was reciting the vision she began to cry and then she just admitted that she KNEW she had to pray and find out for herself if it was all true!!! and then at the end we bore our testimonies and i felt impressed to tell her she was a daughter of God and that He loved her so much... and she just lit up with a light soooo strong i couldn't deny it and she just said that is the most beautiful I've ever felt and heard i know that its true!!! ahhhhh it was AMAZING!!!!!! i literally left and cried!!!! i love to know that she now feels the love of God and recognizes the spirit in her life all because we are instruments in the Lords hands called to serve as He did and as He would if He were here in Etla.... how beautiful it is to be a missionary!!!!
I'm so blessed to have the privilege to serve and to help in the gathering of Israel!!! i truly love my Savior and Older Brother Jesus Christ and i can NOT wait to see Him again and just walk and talk with Him!
I am soooo grateful to have such a supportive LOVING family in which i can ALWAYS count on!!! Thank you all for the Fasts, prayers and temple visits on behalf of my health i really appreciate it!!!! My scripture this week goes along with the talk from President Utchdorf from this past conference to be grateful IN ALL our situations but its DyC 78:18-19 I absolutely LOVE this scripture and the blessings in it at the end of verse 19 its beautiful i only have it in Spanish and y'all wouldn't understand it but in 18 it says that we are to have buen animo because He is ALWAYS with us as our guide and in 19 that we are to receive all things with gratitude and i ahhh i just love it elder Utchdorf talks about gratitude that it is a commandment from the Lord to have gratitude in ALL things no matter what is passing by not just FOR things but IN all things ahhhhhh i LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's my goal this transfer!!!!
I just love you guys soooooo much just a little over a year til i return.... kinda is not enough time to become the person the Lord needs me to be! but i am getting there!!!

HEY family!!!
well the transfer is almost over we just have til Sunday and i believe i am going to go to the coast because 22 missionaries from the US are coming and they all need to be close to the city so they are gonna ship me out cause my comp she cant leave the city cause of her health! she is on the verge of going home cause they cant find a solution and its only getting worse and worse. But once again I'm super sick! I'm not sure why i am so sick all the time!!! almost every week of my mission... keep my health in your prayers... PLEASE! haha
Well this week we kinda had a slow week i feel like we had no money so we walked FOREVER seriously we are horribly sunburnt haha but i am gonna be black when i get home and i LOVE IT! i already have a tan line from my new black shoes!!!
well we had our baptism on Saturday and it was beautiful! one set of the elders had a baptism as well it was great!!! one family prepared and sang the baptism song i don't remember what its called but its "i like to look at rainbows whenever there is rain..." i was bawling haha it was so cute!!! they couldn't sing for anything but it was gorgeous! haha and Javier the man we baptized was so happy he arrived at the chapel 2 hours before his baptism haha it was great! he was so excited!!!
well yeah we have a new president him and his wife are from Utah! i haven't met them yet i have only talked with Hermana Madsen yesterday because of health haha but she is super sweet! we are going to meet them tomorrow in interviews!! I'm stoked! i hope they just change everything haha it would be exciting!!!!
Today we gathered up all our strength and we went to the chapel of NACHO LIBRE! and let me tell you it looks similar but for the movie they added on parts to make it much larger but it was legit and i loved it!!! i took a lot of photos but my camera is not working but ill try!
well its time to go i love you all a MILLION!!!!
oh my scripture is Luke 5:25-34 about the woman who is has a disease of blood and i just lover this story because it shows how much our faith can do but as well that our older brother and Savior Jesus Christ knows us one by one even though we are many he will still call us out and know who we are i love it!!!
