4/20/14
Well this week was just a hare slow! This last week and this week are vacations for everyone because of Semana Santa (Easter) so we had really slow days!!! but it was fun watching the catholics have all their wacky traditions, being I've never seen another church's traditions! lol i have videos to send! or at least try to send them! welp, we had an earthquake! lol it was fun... it reminded me of home! because it was only tiny and we were studying it felt like i was on a boat haha it gave me a MAJOR head ache but it was fun!!!
Welp tomorrow is three months in my mission! i cant believe it haha its not that much but its baby steps only 15 months left!!! Also tomorrow is my comps birthday!! whooo hooo PARTY lol not really i wish hahaha sooo question did stephanie turn in her papers or what?? i want to know! i cant believe how many kids from our ward are leaving it is so great that Hunter has friends and they are all growing together to accomplish the same thing in many different places i love it!!!!
so the other day was just a normal day but that morning i had prayered for an extra boost haha i just felt like it would be a long day and i needed it but like right during the middle of the day it was like nothing i felt before... like an extra push like i felt all the prayers that had been offered in my behalf helping me it was amazing i definately needed it!!!!
I went to the temple on wednesday and did it ALL in spanish lol it was slow but way amazing i could definately understand it all and the feeling was amazing!!!
i have a quote that i ABSOLUTELY love that i read this week ´´if you do not magnify your callings, God will hold you responsible for those whom you might have saved had you done your duty.´´ i love this because it is so true especially in missionary work and every pérson has the calling members and missionaries a like and that is to share the gospel with everyone!!!
welp time is short!!!! my scripture is Heleman 12:2 I LOVE it! remember to ALWAYS thank God for ALL you have

haha this week was CRAZY! i feel like it was so slow yet so fast! we accomplished a lot and not so much! i just felt like I was in a dream the entire time!!!
Welp! this week was fun to say the least tho! We have been focusing on the inactive members of the ward and having them help in our missionary efforts! it has been pretty great! we were able to visit many families and we actually had 5 of them in church all 3 hours yesterday!!! how amazing it was for me!! they all enjoyed it and one family even paid tithing! holy cow i was amazed!!!
pues... this week we had training for all the sister missionaries around the city! there were many! it was a blast! there have been many problems in our mission with obedience and people being transfered and going home sooo ... we had a time of humility and help i guess haha no se en ingles haha! But i want to share a scripture that we read in this conference and i honestly love it! my favorite verses of all time are in this chapter but now its just my favorite chapter lol Alma 26! it talks about our work as missionaries and that we are fortified by the Lord.... (does that make sense in english? haha) missionaries and those who are preparing for missions read this chapter and verse 27 is so inspiring! i love that we have our Savior Jesus Christ as our help in all times, that at anytime we are feeling anything that we can not handle on our own that He is ALWAYS there! and I LOVE verse 35 y 36 they are my strength these scripture are why i am here on my mission! Because i have faith in my God and i know that through God i can do all things! and He is loving and merciful and He only wants whats best for us in all times because DIOS NOS AMA!!!! :) un otro escritura i love también es en Romanas 10:14-15 oh how i love the strength in this scripture that us as missionaries and members a like... because without the help of members this work would be incredibly hard but that Lord rejoices in our work for the salvation of His children and He will help us along the way of our route!!! I pray everyday and night that the angels working a long side me are my grandpas cause i definately need their help and i know that they really wanted to serve and now is their chance!! :)
welp for some reason i was FREEZING during the nights this week and i couldnt sleep for like 3 nights it was horrible so we had to move my bed because i was under the window and we are all good now i can sleep without freezing ok bueno... pues we had an activity saturday in the center of tlacolula and we played the testaments for all the people to see but not many people showed up! haha only ward members from our area none from the elders and 2 of our inves. was a doosy and the movie stopped working at the end when Christ came....
bun bun bun BBUUUUNNNNNNNN the baptism of JAVI!!!!! oh man was it amazing!!! we had many trials! we were late, we forgot like a million things, the hot water came out completely dirty after we already had the font a quarter of the way full so we had to drain it! but hermana was in the font cleaning and the floor was wet, obviously and she slipped and fell and was COMPLETELY soaked... not gunna lie we both died laughing for like 20 minutes but it was bad! then the family came and it was gorgeous! Javi was SOOOOOOO excited haha he kept saying LISTOOOOOO (READYYYYY) and he kept saying JAVVVVIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha it was the best! i dont think i could of asked for a better sunday!!! we were having a hard time with the water cause it was really cold so it took a couple tries (like 5), tears of javi saying yo quiero (i want), and 2 men to get him all the way in!!!! it was gorgeous! he was so happy and so was his family! definitely something i will cherrish FOREVER!!!!
I am so grateful for this gospel in my life. I am grateful for the joy and strength it gives me! becuase just this week i've had really hard trials with my favorite family... the consecos, they are like my family away from home, telling me that the catholic life is for them and that they don't want to hear the gospel and that hurt me so bad because i know that they have the evidence of the truth in their hands they just wont read and say their prayers! it is hard but i know that the Lord has his timing for everything as well as they have their agency! i am so grateful for the times i've had here in Oaxaca and there is no other place i'd rather be!!!!!

Familia!!!! what a great week it was!!! Time definitely went by WAYYYYYYYYY fast... I'm kinda loving the hard work fast life, haha. not that I want time to go by fast haha, but that I am actually accomplishing things!!! well I was sick for a couple days last week... and I have a story, it was hilarious! but it's a story I will not tell right now haha :)
I am now a citizen here... haha not really but I got my visa last week. I went to Oaxaca with all my peeps from the MTC; it was way good to see all of them again!!!!! then we did some shopping... well looking. I didn't bring that much money!!! I'm definitely gunna have fun shopping in central my last few months on pdays!!! I have many marvelous ideas but I need to exchange money!! I have 15 months!!! lol
OK an amazing story!!!!.... We are teaching this kid named Javiar he is 16 yrs old and has special needs and let my tell you right now this kid is Something AMAZINGLY special!!!!! his family has been members for 5 years but he was afraid of water so he wasn't baptized. but 2 weeks ago he told us he wants to be baptized! so we have been teaching him... he is AMAZINGLY smart but he has a hard time remembering.... but the other day his mom came to us and told us because of our spirit and our calling and the help of the Lord through us Javiar understands everything!!!!!!! he can repeat the lessons back to us! he is my love forever this kid is AMAZING!!! and I am soooo blessed to have him in my life. he is my strength. I look forward to everyday I get to meet with him and so does my comp!!!! we set a date and he is getting baptized THIS saturday!!! the 12th!!! at 11am!!! my first baptism will be amazing I'm soooo excited!!!!!:) I'll send tons of pics next week!!!!
next I have been studying the Plan of Salvation this week a lot and I was reading in true to the faith under the second coming of Jesus Christ the last paragraph in this section and it hit me that the prophets have asked us to have 72 hour kits and that is a commandment in prep for something to have for this purpose alone!!!! and also in the section missionary work, we are all asked to do missionary work here in this life but also it's all in prep for the next life. that is all we will be doing in either the millenium or when we pass on ahhhhhh ...I was like woahhhhh I need to learn how now so I can be pro and learn more with the Savior!!!! haha my insight for the week!!!
also everyone said the water is bad here and that it will rot your teeth but my mission pres never said a word neither did hermana leyva so i thought it be fine..... well its not.... i have two teeth that have huge holes in the roots and hurt like crazy but today i am going to the dentist to make an appointment!!! i hope its not too much money!!!!
oh my you guys MIRACLE with conference!!! i LOVE general conference it is probably my favorite thing in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD (besides my family) and i prayed cause i knew that it would all be in spanish and i prayed soooooooo hard to be able to understand the messages cause i knew that through my faith and the help of the Lord that i would be able to understand and guess what??? i understood it ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was amazing!!!! the choir director of the institute choir was my choir director in the MTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he was absolutely hilarious i love that guy!!!! lol and i just LOVED that the choir sang my FAVORITE song a child prayer i bawled!!! it reminded me of my farwell and when makenli and hunter then the rest of you guys sang it!!!!! i couldnt control myself hahahaha and i also loved how pretty much the theme was "No somos solos" which is "we are not alone" because thats been my theme for my mission thus far and i absolutely love my Savior Jesus Christ!!!! I know that we are not alone and that he suffered for every single one of us!!!! i LOVED Robert D. Hales talk about obedience!!! i think that was my absolute favorite!!!! and mom i think so too about elder packer:( sad day!!!! i also loved elder dieter f utchdorfs talked!!! i love that he said that the commandments are for us to exercise our agency and recieve all the blessings for our obedience!! I LOVE it!!! because may times we dont want to do something we are asked or we feel like we want it our way but really God knows exactly what we need and when we need it in our lifes and we need to follow that NOW!!! for the Blessings of God!!!!

FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh how iI miss you terribly!!!! my spelling is horrible trust me I already know!!!! this week was kinda a crazy one and not gunna lie it made me homesick!!!!!!! we started of the week with my comps 2 days of rest sunday and monday ... tuesday we went to district meeting then afterwards I was feeling super super sick.... we went to a members house for lunch but my golly I could not eat one thing I was dying so we went to a new doctor here in Tlacolula and she told me the same thing the other doctor told me but she prescribed me new meds, different ones... and then we went home cause I could hardly function, grrr... I hated going back home!!!! but in the morning I was getting worse so Sister Leyva had us come down to Oaxaca to go to the hospital. they told me the same thing and gave me the same meds as the first doctor. I then received a blessing from president Leyva. I took the the meds that night but I had a feeling to not to anymore! ever since i have been 100% healed... haha it's great!!!! We also had emergency transfers my comp wasn't following rules so I was senior comp for a day and I then got a new comp!!! Hermana Mamani! she is from Bolivia. very hard working around 10 lessons a day which is a miracle compared to the 2 or 3 a day with hermana Vargas...... I am blessed! my comp does not speak ANY english which is super hard but a blessing! I believe the Lord taught me humility through my comps. I said I wanedt a comp that spoke mostly english and was easy going but I hated it... then I got my new comp and she is everything the Lord needed me to have!!!! we have one date for baptism we got this week with Anna she is 21 and amazing and she is so ready and so is her boyfriend all they need is to be married which is a big problem here blahhh! but they have a date may 3!!!

welp its time for me to go!!!!!!! my scripture this week is 1 Nephi ch 8 I absolutely love this chapter it is definitely a check of where we are in life and whats we need to do!!!!
